Mexican footballer who last played as a midfielder for Indy Eleven. He is known as "El borrego." He was capped for the Mexico national football team 146 times, making him the joint-second highest appearance makerfor El Tri after Claudio Suárez. He represented the nation at the 2002, 2006 and 2010 FIFA World Cups and has won three CONCACAF Gold Cup tournaments.
